The Forge Island development is a joint scheme being delivered by Rotherham Council and Muse Developments. Work is now underway and once complete, it will include an 8-screen state-of-the-art boutique cinema, delivered by The Arc Cinema, alongside a 69-room Travelodge hotel. All commercial space has now been let with six exciting restaurants confirmed, set within attractive public spaces.
To get the earth of Forge Island to look like this, our team had to go through a lengthy process.
The works of this project included carrying out a 55,000m³ made ground turnover to remove all obstructions.
Then came the disposal and treatment of any contaminated materials.
Finally, our team concluded the project by the screening and crushing of 35,000m³ to a 6F2 and Type 1 spec for reuse on site.
